Energy Transition Index

THE THREE CORE METRICS · OPERATIONAL FORMULAS

The framework operates through a fact-based index designed to calculate and display the actual physical progress of regional and corporate energy systems. To maintain absolute data integrity, nuclear energy is excluded from the ledger, and external carbon or energy certificates are omitted. Only direct, physical energy streams – or certified future local grid configurations. are registered in the equations.

TRANSITION SCORE (TS)

The Definition: Renewable energy as a share of total energy consumption across Scope 1 and Scope 2.

The Formula:
Transition Score = Total actual use of renewable energy (MWh)\Total use of energy (MWh) x 100

Note: This score evaluates the entire physical energy baseline, including thermal process heat, fuel, and electricity.

ENERGY GRID SCORE (EGS)

The Definition: Renewable electricity as a share of total electricity consumption within the geographical boundaries or corporate infrastructure.

The Formula:
Energy Grid Score = Total actual use of renewable electricity (MWh)\Total use of electricity (MWh) x 100

Note: This metric isolates the electrical power grid layer to benchmark local grid resilience and clean electrification layers.

BLUE GRID POINTS (BGP)

The Definition: A direct physical measure of surplus renewable energy generated but not utilized within the geographical boundaries or corporate infrastructure itself.

The Metric: One Blue Grid Point represents exactly 1 million kWh (1,000 MWh) of unutilized physical energy (electricity or converted thermal heat) produced locally on the egn

The Mathematical Ledger

By segregating the mathematical accounting framework into a dedicated Metrics node, the ecosystem achieves complete operational transparency.
